There is safety in numbers... or so our grandmama has always told us. Akron Bicycle Club is a leader in northeast Ohio for promoting safe bicycling. We have been providing a warm, welcome environment for 50 years that nurture new riders while sharing techniques and bicycle etiquette that safeguard our riders. Currently we are exploring new ways to put the strengths of ABC to work for the betterment of both the cycling community and the communities where we ride. Please contact our Advocacy Chair, Pat Smith with any suggestions.
In the meantime, use this Resource Directory to find ways to navigate through the sometimes confusing map of who does what in the Western Reserve. Either Pat or these organizations can help you find the information that you need to be safe on the roads and trails of Northeast Ohio. We encourage you to find ways to become an advocate for safe bicycling that protects the cyclists, pedestrians and motorists who share the roadways and trails.
