Mike Neag's 2nd Annual TNFR Ales on Rails Ride. This was a great time last year. Did a little riding, darnk some beers. 36 miles on the road.
We will leave the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad’s (CVSR) Northside Station (just below Luigi’s in downtown Akron) at 1 PM and ride north to the Rockside Station – about 36 miles.
Once there, we’ll board the train (bring $2 for “Bike Aboard”) and enjoy refreshments from the CVSR café car (a variety of sandwich’s, coffee, soft drinks, beers, and deserts – all catered by ACME and all reasonably priced) on the 1 hour and 20 minute journey back through Valley to Northside Station. The last Southbound train departs at 4:05 (schedule below).
If you’d like a shorter ride, you can grab the train at any of the locations and times noted on the schedule below. It’s $2 for the Bike Aboard at all stops. More details on CVSR available at these links:

I’ve ridden the train from Rockside several times and had a grand time. If you like trains, you’ll like this.
