Rides - Event View

For a Sunday Ride, Sept. 29th, we’ll be riding to the Mum Festival in Barberton. The route will be on the tow path to Barberton, and public roads once we are there. We’ll be leaving from the Botzum Trail-head on Riverview Rd. in the Cuyahoga Valley at 9:00 am. The total distance should be about 30 miles. Most of the tow path is a crushed lime stone…road bikes are not recommended. For those of you who wish not to climb out of the valley, you can meet up with the group behind the Spaghetti Warehouse in Downtown Akron about 9:30 am or anywhere along the towpath. This is a social ride at a comfortable pace with an average pace of 13 mph. We’ll regroup as needed. Like all ABC rides, this ride is for current members and first time guest.

As always, helmets are required on all ABC rides. Also, no ears buds, and no use of cell phones for talk, text, or music while riding. It is also advised during daylight hours to use a good tail light and headlight when riding on public roads. Please obey all traffic laws…safety is everyone’s responsibility.
