ABC Riders,
Last week we rode out to Willoughby and Lake Erie. Beautiful ride full of adventure! And we learned something - when the sign says bridge closed, the bridge is probably closed. It was a hot one - but we powered through. Kudos to Hua who was the only one to ride the full 65 miles!
This week we are starting in Richfield and riding into Medina. We are again offering 47 mile and 64 mile options.
Randy will be out this weekend so we're asking for someone to step in and lead the 47 mile group. Any volunteers, please let Joe know. Joe will lead the 64 mile group.
Temperatures are rising quickly in the mornings, reaching 80F usually by 10AM. Bring ample hydration at the start of the ride.
There are many changes to our approach to our club rides due to the pandemic. Please read the attached MSWord document and be prepared to abide by and support these new rules. The health and safety of our riders is our primary objective.
A few callouts:
- We will not be passing out or sharing materials during the ride. This includes cue sheets. Please bring to the ride some means of following the route, either your bike computer or a printout of the cue sheet. Cue sheets are attached here.
- And we will not be stopping as a group at any time for an organized, sit down food stop. This is another CoViD thing. To be safe, bring any hydration / nutrition you anticipate needing. If needed, we can stop at a convenience store or gas station to get additional supplies.
See you Saturday,
Joe & Randy
