Rides - Event View

ABC Riders,

This week Randy and I are posting a ride out to Hartville leaving from Silver Springs Park in Stow.  We're posting one route for all riders - 48 miles starting at 10 AM.

I will be away this weekend; George Sadallah has offered to lead the faster group.  Thanks George!

There are many changes to our approach to our club rides due to the pandemic.  Please read the attached MSWord document and be prepared to abide by and support these new rules.  The health and safety of our riders is our primary objective.

A few callouts:

• We will not be passing out or sharing materials during the ride.  This includes cue sheets.  Please bring to the ride some means of following the route, either your bike computer or a printout of the cue sheet.  This week's cue sheet is attached.
• And we will not be stopping as a group at any time for an organized, sit down food stop.  This is another CoViD thing.  To be safe, bring any hydration / nutrition you anticipate needing.  If needed, we can stop at a convenience store or gas station to get additional supplies.

And now the pre-pandemic fine print: Helmets are required on all ABC rides.  Please no use of earbuds, or cell phones while riding.  Recommend use of rear view mirrors..  By law (and for your safety) a headlight, rear reflector and tail light is required 30 minutes prior to sunset, and recommended at all times for additional safety.  Please obey all traffic laws.  Safety is everyone’s responsibility.  Rides are for members and first time guests.  See Akronbike.org for more information or to become a member.   Come Ride With Us and Enjoy The Ride
