Akron Bicycle Club presents the 37th Absolutely Beautiful Country Ride, starting at Copley High School on July 8, 2012. The ride showcases the rolling hills and quaint villages of Summit, Medina and Wayne counties.
The Absolutely Beautiful Country Ride provides scenic and challenging routes for families as well as experienced bicyclists. Registrants can choose 25, 50, 65 or 100 mile routes and expect ample rest stops, lunch for the 50 mile and higher routes and excellent SAG support along the routes. After completing the route, participants can kick back to enjoy relaxing massages and the summery sounds of local musicians.
Register early to receive VIP treatment, including access to the pre-ride hospitality area, promotional items and savings. This is a great ride to introduce families to bicycling for fun. Families of up to five members can register for the 25 mile route at a special rate. Pre-registration rates start at $22 for the 25 mile route. Pre-registration rates for longer routes are $22.

We offer a single price for a family riding the 25-mile route. The price includes 2 adults and up to 3 children under the age of 18 riding together.

The Akron Bicycle Club cares about your health and safety; therefore Helmets are Required.
Where does the Ride Start?
The ride starts and ends at:
Copley High School
Ridgewood Drive
Copley, Ohio
Parking
All riders may park at Copley High School.. Parking is near the Athletic Field.
Registration and Check-in
General Registration will be near the entrance to the Athletic Field.
Pre-registered riders will check in and pick up their maps and goodies in the VIP Hospitality area adjacent to the Athletic Field at Copley High School. Enjoy a light breakfast before enjoying the ride.
Day of Ride registrants are encouraged to print out the mail-in form available above and bring a check made payable to the Akron Bicycle Club or cash to speed up the registration process. Forms and pens will be available to register on the spot as well.
Registration and check in hours are 7:00am - 10:00am. 100-mile riders are encouraged to check in and get started by 8:00am.
SAG
SAG wagons will be provided along all routes; however, riders are expected to know how to make minor repairs such as changing flat tires. All riders should pace themselves so that they complete the ride while the SAGS are still in service:
1 pm for the 25-mile route, 5 pm for the 50-mile, 65 mile, and century routes.
Ride Maps
All routes will be carefully marked with painted temporary road arrows. Riders will be provided with detailed route maps, cue sheets, and emergency telephone numbers.
